Wedding Reception
We recently had the pleasure of using the Abbotsford hotel for our daughters wedding reception. The day was perfect.
From the moment our large party arrived until we all left in the wee small hours.
We found the staff to be very polite and helpful.
The food was excellent. The reception rooms were perfect for any function.
I would particularly like to thank James & Agnes (proprietors)for all their help and assistance in helping to make the day successful.
James was particularly proffessional and friendly and made sure the day flowed without any hitches.
I would certainly recommend the Abbotsford as a great venue for anyone planning somewhere special to hold their wedding reception.
Thanks to both James & Agnes.

WE TRAVEL UP TO GLASGOW ABOUT 20 TIMES PER YEAR AND USUALY STAY IN THE HOLLIDAY INN AT THE AIRPORT . BUT AFTER STAYING WITH YOU ON THE 6/10/08 TO 10/10/08 WE WILL BE BOOKING ALL OUR STOP OVERS WITH YOURE HOTEL . FOOD VERY GOOD STAFF VERY GOOD AND ROOMS VERY GOOD . ONCE AGAIN MANY THANKS FOR A FREINDLY AND PROF ATTITUDE AND WILL SEE YOU AGAIN IN THE NEAR FUTURE . P S MANY THANKS TO JAMES IN THE RESTAURANT FOR THE DRINK .

Wonderful Services at the Abbotsford!!!
We had our wedding reception here way back in 2004 and i have to say the services provided by Agnes & her staff were first class. We were so impressed with their service that we returned 2 years later to celebrate our daughter's christening.
We dropped by a few months ago for lunch & it was so nice to have Agnes attend to us all & she still remembered us all by name - but then you couldn't forget my husbands table plans eh Agnes?

I thank you and your staff for the consideration, kindness and courtesy you showed to my wife, family and myself in everything you did for my family in our recent bereavement. My wife and I have stayed at the “Abbotsford” over several years and it has given us pleasure to see a business be an obvious success due to taste and hard work.
We have over 25 years in the licensed trade in Jersey and know we couldn’t have achieved your achievements.
I’m sure my older brothers have expressed their appreciation but please accept our grateful thanks and if you think appropriate please pass on a big “Thank You” to a well trained staff who show this even in your absence.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I just wanted to say how impressed with your hotel and staff my husband and I were.
We were coming to Dumbarton for the first time, and for the very sad occasion of my friends funeral, which her funeral gathering was held at the Hotel on 12th Feb. Her family recommended your Hotel to us as this was a favourite place of Anne’s to eat when back home in Dumbarton. We were both very impressed when we booked in on the 11th Feb and as we walked in the door to be greeted by the lady at Reception by our names, what great customer service. From that point each and every member of staff we came into contact with were always polite, friendly and helpful. We had a day to spare on Tuesday and decided to do some sightseeing and everyone of your staff we spoke to gave places to go and even directions. It was so lovely after the sadness of the day before to get away into such beautiful country lifted our spirits. We ate 2 nights in the Hotel and the service and food were first rate. We have fallen in love with Dumbarton and surrounding areas and will definitely be back again and will not hesitate to use your Hotel.
Please pass on our thanks to all the hotel staff for making what was a sad occasion into an amazing stay.
